From September 15 to October 7, oceanographer Pedro Pereira offered specialized operational support during the acquisition of geophysical data and sediment collection to support the installation of submarine cables in the coastal zone of the regions of Morro Bay and Grover Beach, central coast of the state of California, USA.
The work carried out by Oceanauta comprised the following activities:
Acquisition, quality control, processing, and interpretation of side scan sonar, single-channel Pinger seismic reflection and magnetometry data.
Experience in mastering data interpolation and geodatabase techniques managed from GIS matrix software.
The operational support offered by Oceanauta was fundamental to execute the service using the best technique according to the required parameters regarding safety criteria and deadline requested by the client.
