Topobathymetric mapping and current analysis in a stretch of the São Francisco River in the locality of Curralinho, Barra – Bahia

Topobathymetric mapping and current analysis of a stretch of about 1.2 km of the São Francisco River, located in the locality of Curralinho in the municipality of Barra – BA.
The topobathymetric mapping was carried out in two phases. The first was a survey through echo sounding. The second consisted of the acquisition of aerial images, through the use of a RPA (Remotely Controlled Aircraft) for digital mapping of the terrain along the riverbank, in order to obtain a high-resolution photographic orthomosaic, a digital surface model (DSM) and a digital terrain model (DTM).
Currents were measured through sounding with an ADCP acoustic current meter, in a hydraulic section located at the upstream limit of the area. This allowed the measurement of the flow of the river that reaches the study area.
